Steve and his wife Shannon both graduated from East Texas Baptist University, having met each other on the Mission Field. Steve graduated with a Master of Arts in Christian Education from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in Fort Worth, Texas. Steve has served as Youth Minister all through out his education and has served First Baptist Fayetteville since 2004. Steve and Shannon have four children, Hannah, Annemarie (see Steve's journal "On the Death of our Daughter"), Marshall, and Wesley.
Q – Where were you born and raised?
A - My birth place was the tiny town of Holyoke, Colorado but I was raised in beautiful Loveland, Colorado.
Q – What was your first vehicle?
A - I had a '79 Chevy Monza, which I wrecked two months later (I blame the 5.0 305 engine); then I had a Chevy Chevette (1.4, 4 cyl.--for that I blame my Monza accident)
Q – Why do you love First Baptist Church?
A - I love FBC because of the families. I have the privilege of serving with the best teenagers in the world!
